Vietnam Buddhist Sangha gives 200 gifts to disadvantaged students in My Lam

On the afternoon of August 2, at Phu Lam Pagoda (My Lam Ward), the Central Information and Communications Department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha coordinated with units to organize the program "Vu Lan - Filial Piety and Nation" in 2025 with the activity of giving gifts to disadvantaged students in the area before the new school year.

The program is called “Journey of Nurturing Love - Supporting Students to Go to School”, the Organizing Committee has presented 200 gifts to 200 students in the area. Each gift includes essential school supplies and 300,000 VND in cash, with a total value of 700,000 VND/gift.

Speaking at the program, Venerable Thich Gia Quang, Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Program Organizing Committee shared: "Although the gifts are not large, they are a heart of love, sharing and encouragement sent to the students on their journey to school."

The program is part of the series of activities of "Vu Lan - Filial Piety and Nation" in 2025. This is the 11th consecutive year the program has been organized, aiming to show gratitude and serve society, contributing to spreading filial piety, national morality and arousing the spirit of humanity in the community.
