More than 2,400 officers and soldiers from units: Division 324; Nghe An Provincial Military Command; Economic -Defense Group 4 under Military Region 4 and Brigade 215 (Armored Corps), militia and self-defense forces, along with 49 vehicles, cleared and dredged mud in 29 communes, with a total length of dredged canals reaching 20.2km. At the same time, the units moved about 960m³ of mud, supporting 153 households to clean up their houses and the environment.

At heavily damaged areas, armed forces coordinated with local authorities to restore roads, clean public areas, help 162 households stabilize their lives, and organize visits, give gifts, and encourage people to soon stabilize their lives.

According to statistics from the Operations Department, General Staff of Military Region 4, from July 23 to now, Military Region 4 has mobilized a total of more than 15,000 officers and soldiers along with many specialized equipment to help people in the western area of Nghe An overcome the consequences of floods. The forces have supported the evacuation of 5,857 households to safety; helped 59 schools, headquarters, offices and 3,745 households clear mud and soil; cleared more than 100km of roads, dredged many irrigation canals and dug and reinforced 22,500m3 of soil and rock. The units have presented thousands of gifts, dozens of tons of food, drinking water and necessities to support people in flooded areas.

In the coming days, Military Region 4 will continue to direct units to maintain forces to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, organize inspection teams in heavily affected areas, coordinate with localities to grasp the situation, and be ready to deploy tasks when situations arise.
