At Ha Long International Passenger Port, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - along with leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Tourism warmly welcomed the crew members and the first guests to Ha Long on the new cruise and took photos with the tourists.

To prepare for the Bac Hai ship to Ha Long, the Department of Tourism also advised the Provincial People's Committee to organize a reception program and present congratulatory flowers to the first group of tourists arriving at the port, the captain and representatives of the shipping company.

According to Ms. Nguyen Huyen Anh - Director of the Department of Tourism, to prepare for this ship trip, the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism closely coordinated with the Department of Culture - Tourism of Guangxi (China), preparing the necessary ship procedures. In addition, the Department also reported to the Provincial People's Committee to send a working group to Beihai, Guangxi to review the cooperation minutes between the two sides, agree on the results achieved and tasks for 2025.

Ms. Xiang Hong – Deputy General Director of Guangxi Port Authority Group, China (left) – said she was honored to be the first passengers on the first cruise connecting Beihai with Ha Long today. “As soon as I arrived at Ha Long Bay this morning, from the ship I was able to see the whole view of the world heritage site, with the beautiful rocky islands rising above the sea. It is truly a world-famous destination.”

Ms. Xiang Hong added that around August, she was able to join a delegation from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, to visit and work in Quang Ninh, signing an agreement to promote tourism cooperation, including connecting the Beihai - Ha Long sea route. Since then, the smooth opening of the first cruise ship today demonstrates the friendly cooperative relationship between the two sides.

After leaving the ship, tourists are taken by the tour operator to visit famous places in Ha Long City such as Quang Ninh Provincial Museum, Ha Long Bay, and participate in culinary and cultural experiences of the city.

Many young tourists were excited to come to Ha Long for the first time and received a warm welcome.

Mr. Pan Xiong, a Chinese tourist, said that this sea route will certainly bring great opportunities for tourists from Beihai, China. Tourists from Guangxi, China also love to travel to Ha Long, Vietnam, and are also eager to welcome Vietnamese tourists to travel to Guangxi.

After leaving the ship, visitors will visit Ha Long Bay and famous places and participate in culinary and cultural experiences of the city.

The Beihai-Halong cruise route was once bustling for 10 years, starting in 1998. However, the route was later discontinued for various reasons. The reopening of the cruise from Beihai to Ha Long demonstrates the utmost efforts of the authorities at all levels, departments, branches, sectors, and relevant units of Quang Ninh Province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

The ship will leave Ha Long port in the afternoon of the same day and will connect to the next route on the same day. The second passenger ship from Bac Hai is expected to continue to Ha Long on November 18.
