This morning (June 6), the Provincial Party Standing Committee held an expanded meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to review the work situation in May and develop a work program for June 2025. Comrade Ngo Chi Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province chaired the meeting.

In May 2025, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee focused on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks with positive results, and achieved basic socio-economic targets according to the period. Complete 03 projects: (1) Project to arrange and streamline the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State at the commune level; (2) Project to end the activities of district, town, and city party committees; commune, ward, and town party committees directly under the district, town, and city party committees and establish commune and ward party committees directly under the provincial party committee; (3 ) Project to arrange and reorganize the provincial Inspectorate. Direct the development of personnel plans for commune-level party committees; review the expected personnel and report to the Central Organizing Committee in accordance with regulations.

During the month, agricultural production was relatively favorable, with plant and animal diseases basically well controlled. The entire province has completely harvested the winter-spring rice crop, and planted the summer-autumn rice crop faster than the same period last year. Prices of agricultural products are stable at a high level. Tra Vinh is continuing to expand and effectively promote the model of Sustainable Development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030.

Industrial production continued to grow, the industrial production index increased by 17.45% compared to the previous month, up 6.7% over the same period. The industrial production value is estimated at VND 4,425 billion, up to May 31, 2025 at VND 18,949 billion, reaching 40.64% of the plan, up 9.58% over the same period.
Along with that, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee have also focused on directing the improvement of the provincial competitiveness index. The results of the announcement of the PCI, SIPAS, and PAR indexes in 2024 all increased in points and ranks compared to 2023. In June 2025, the Provincial Party Standing Committee continued to focus on leading and directing the drastic implementation of socio-economic development tasks, Party building and the political system. Continue to concretize, direct, thoroughly implement and organize the synchronous and serious implementation of the Central Committee's guidelines and conclusions on the organization of Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party and the work of arranging the apparatus of the political system according to the new organizational model, suitable to the characteristics and situation of the province and ensuring the roadmap.
The focus is on directing the implementation of the arrangement and merger of provincial and communal administrative units and the organization of the two-level local government system according to the provisions of law and the direction of the Central Government; implementing projects on the arrangement of party organizations, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the political system according to the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the guidance of the Government Party Committee. Reviewing the entire staff of administrative agencies at all levels to proactively plan the arrangement and assignment of reasonable and qualified staff to meet the requirements and tasks. Coordinating the preparation of congress documents and personnel work for the Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee (after the merger). Directing the good implementation of the work of editing and digitizing documents for handover and archiving in accordance with regulations.

Concluding the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong directed the specific implementation, completion of all aspects of work, readiness for the operation of commune-level units after the merger, completion of district-level activities and readiness for provincial-level consolidation.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested to continue focusing on doing well the work of political and ideological education; propagating and thoroughly grasping the Party's policies and resolutions among cadres, party members, union members, association members, and the people, especially policies on the arrangement of administrative units and organization of the apparatus in the political system so that cadres, party members, and the people can clearly understand and agree to implement.
