Podcast Production Skills Training

During 3 days from August 26 to 28, Voice of Vietnam Radio in collaboration with ABC Australia Radio and Television Station organized a training course on "Improving podcast production skills".

Overview of the training class.

The training course was attended by officers, editors, and reporters from units under VOV, College of Broadcasting and Television I; and a number of press agencies in Hanoi and neighboring provinces. The lecturer was Ms. Caroline Radford – communications expert from ABC Australia Radio and Television.

During the 3-day training, Ms. Caroline shared her experience in producing Podcasts for ABC Radio and Television and personally; Podcast thinking and identity building ; script writing, interviewing and presenting, producing, editing and perfecting Podcast products. In particular, she went into some specific contents such as: catchy writing skills, storytelling techniques, interviewing skills, script writing practice, editing comments...

The training course not only equips reporters and editors with skills to improve their professional capacity but also inspires creative thinking in podcast production. By combining theory and practice, students are encouraged to develop their own style, creating products that are both modern, in line with global trends, and familiar, imbued with the essence of Vietnamese radio journalism. This is also the basis for effective application in the practice of journalism at each agency and unit.
