At the meeting, the investor representative gave an overview of Sapien Group and its partner Suhyup, a leading unit in the field of fisheries cooperatives in Korea. At the same time, they proposed a project to develop the Vietnamese lobster industry; in which they proposed to implement a pilot phase on an area of 500 hectares of water surface in Phu Yen province in 2025 before expanding to neighboring provinces; creating a global lobster supply chain that ensures food safety and traceability requirements. The project's goal is to modernize the lobster farming industry, build a closed value chain, apply high technology, promote official exports and develop a sustainable green economy.
According to the investor, this is a strategic breakthrough step to establish a provincial-level model marine farming area, fully integrating the following factors: high technology - CO/CQ traceability - ESG standards - international market linkage. The model not only plays a large-scale pilot role, but also serves as a foundation for replication and transfer to coastal localities in the coming period.
