Recently, at Suoi Dum residential group, Dai Dinh town (Tam Dao), the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial Youth Union Council in coordination with Tam Dao District Youth Union organized the inauguration ceremony of the "Children's Playground". The project was built with a total cost of 70 million VND, mainly from socialized sources. The playground includes equipment such as seesaws, bouncy animals, swings, etc. designed to ensure quality, safety and suitability.
In addition, the union members and young people planted many trees to create shade in the cultural house of Suoi Dum residential group. Comrade Vu Viet Dai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Dai Dinh town said: “This project was built to create a healthy and useful playground, bringing joy to children; contributing to creating favorable conditions for young people to develop comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health and stay away from social evils.
To create a useful summer activity environment for teenagers and children, the town's Youth Union has selected rich, diverse summer activities suitable for each age group. In addition to summer activities at the cultural house, it also organizes summer camps, cultural and artistic exchanges, volunteer activities, gratitude, and community life activities. At the same time, it promotes propaganda to prevent drowning and injuries... to help children gain life skills and create a useful summer activity environment."
During this time, Vinh Tuong District Youth Union has implemented many summer activities attracting a large number of young people and children to participate. Comrade Nguyen Tien Minh, Secretary of Vinh Tuong District Youth Union, said: "In order for young people and children to have a joyful and useful summer vacation, the District Youth Union has instructed 4 summer dances and songs; directed the grassroots Youth Union to organize summer activities for children, propagate drowning prevention, open free swimming classes for young people and children, launch environmental sanitation campaigns and build youth projects...
Along with that, the implementation of the "Digital Education for All" movement creates opportunities for children, especially children in rural and disadvantaged areas, to access knowledge about digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
The District Youth Union coordinates to organize visits to historical sites for children toeducate them about historical traditions, culture, ethics and lifestyle; organizes summer camps and skill education programs for children through "Military Semester", "Learning to be a police officer"; organizes experiential classes to improve foreign language skills for children with the spirit of "learning while playing, playing while learning"...
With the attention and active participation of all levels, sectors, and socio- political organizations, cultural institutions for children in localities, especially rural areas, are increasingly invested in and improved in both quality and quantity. Currently, 9/9 districts and cities have cultural and sports centers; 100% of villages and residential groups have cultural houses and entertainment venues for children, meeting the needs of daily life, entertainment, recreation, and comprehensive development of children. From 2021 to present, Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have proactively and voluntarily built nearly 100 playgrounds for children in the community, creating playgrounds for children during the summer.
Creating summer collective activities for children in rural areas not only helps them have fun but also creates opportunities for them to learn, practice life skills, communication skills and develop themselves through collective activities.
Therefore, since the end of May, the Youth Union at all levels has developed plans and directed grassroots Youth Union organizations to organize summer activities suitable for youth and children based on local conditions, striving for creative, practical, and specific activities that attract a large number of children to participate.
