Raised alert level II on Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 10:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025, the Provincial Civil Defense Command continued to issue telegram No. 28 increasing alert level II on the Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station.

According to the flood warning bulletin on Ma River No. DBLU-36/09h00/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of Thanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025, the water level on Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station was +4.49 m (0.49 m above BĐI); the warning of downstream water level on Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station is likely to reach Alarm Level II (+5.50 m) at 12-14:00 p.m. on August 26, 2025.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a second alert on the Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes and wards of Dong Tien, Ham Rong, Hac Thanh, Quang Phu, Nguyet Vien, Sam Son, Hoang Giang, Hoang Loc, Hoang Chau, and Hoang Thanh to immediately deploy dike patrols and dike protection according to the alert levels.

Organize inspection, review and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key dike points and culverts across dikes in the area.

Proactively implement evacuation plans for people living in riverbank areas.

Organize a 24/7 duty team, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
