There are few places where the cultural life is as deeply rooted and vibrant as in Quang Nam. From the bolero melodies that resound in daily life to competitions, mass art performances, propaganda of legal policies, new rural construction… attracting the enthusiastic participation of the people.

That is Tam Hai village (Nui Thanh) with bolero melody resounding in every alley, becoming a bond of village love, preserving memories for those who are far from home to return and creating fate for many couples who love the song and singing to be together for a hundred years.

In Tam Ky City, there is a music venue that has been maintained for more than 5 years, that is Ngo Coffee Shop located on Ly Thuong Kiet Street. As Mr. Pham Truong Tin - the owner said - Ngo serves singing for each other, except for some pre-prepared theme nights. Ngo hopes that customers will be confident in singing to share their passion; he really respects and cherishes those who truly love music.

Besides the natural artistic life, originating from passion, there are also many professional programs, creating an impression not only in the province but also attracting many professional artists to participate.

“Spring Melody” is organized by the Guitar Club with members such as Nguyen Chi Binh, Nguyen Cong Dung, Hoang Tan Minh, Nguyen Ngoc Phap… First introduced to the public in 2012, every spring, “Spring Melody” resounds loudly.

Notably, the first time the program was held, there were also famous musicians from home and abroad. They were artists Nguyen Thanh Huy, Huynh Ba Tho, Nguyen Tri Doan, Phan Xuan Tri, Le Hoang Minh…

From the professional guitar program organized in a province where the cultural life is normally quiet, the passion for young people has been ignited. The guitar teaching centers appearing in the city have also contributed to training, inspiring the passion for music and who knows, the nucleus of talent is nurtured from those guitar teaching classes.

Nurturing passion is a long journey, suddenly remembering the program "Red Flamboyant Song" of Hoi An City with 30 years of history is something to cherish.

Or the "Music Talent Search" contest organized by Quang Nam province from 2021 to present has created an environment for exchange, learning and promoting the talents of the young generation in the field of art; at the same time contributing to the local cultural and artistic movement.

As for the art of Bài Chòi, many clubs have been formed, especially in localities with traditions in this field such as Duy Xuyen, Que Son, Hoi An, Dai Loc, Thang Binh...

The art of Bài Chòi has been preserved and passed down through many generations largely thanks to the “living heritage” factor, deeply rooted in the daily life of the people. Through the process of social development, Bài Chòi has also become a unique tourism product, contributing to promoting the value of heritage, widely promoting to domestic and international friends...

Achievements of literature and art

On the Quang Nam Weekend Newspaper, the literary and artistic activities of Quang Nam artists are promptly reported. In particular, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association is the focal point connecting members, creating conditions for creative activities and promoting works.

The professional activities of the Photography Association, Fine Arts Association, Literature Association, Music Association, etc. include the most active and successful activities of the Quang Nam Photography Association with famous photographers such as Dang Ke Dong, Duong Phu Tam, Le Van, Le Trong Khang, Huynh Ha. Over the years, new elements of Quang Nam photography have also been discovered and promptly encouraged to inherit the achievements of the association.

In the field of fine arts, exhibitions and competitions are promptly updated in the culture and arts section of Quang Nam newspaper. Every year, the Southern Central - Central Highlands Regional Fine Arts Exhibition with the participation of Quang Nam's painters such as Tran Van Binh, Le Nguyen Chinh, Nguyen Thuong Hy, Truong Bach Tuong... leaves an impression on the public who love painting.

Equally exciting are the activities of the Provincial Literature Association with many writers and poets releasing new works and introducing books to the public. The number of books published by members each year is in the dozens and is introduced in depth in the “World of Books” section... For example, writers Ho Duy Le, Nguyen Ba Tham, Nguyen Tam My, Le Tram, Nguyen Ba Hoa, Ho Loan, Nguyen Tan Ai...

In 2023, Quang Nam had a good book season when up to 30 manuscripts were selected and proposed by the Appraisal Council to support the creation and dissemination of literary works and research on Quang Nam, and the Provincial People's Committee recognized and supported with publishing costs.

The Quang Nam Literature and Arts Awards have gone through four award seasons (every five years) and are also an important mark in the life of Quang Nam literature and arts. The scale and prestige of the award has increasingly expanded, attracting many authors in fields such as literature, music, fine arts, photography, etc. from within and outside the province to participate. Each award season passes, but what remains are quality works that remain in the hearts of the public.
