Imbued with Uncle Ho's teaching "Culture lights the way for the nation", the Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has united, been creative, and achieved many important achievements. Culture continues to affirm its role as a spiritual foundation; traditional values of ethnic groups in the province are preserved and promoted, associated with building Lao Cai people in the new period.
Mass cultural activities are vibrant, artistic, and professional, affirming their identity and winning many national awards. Cultural heritage is preserved, many relics and intangible heritages are honored by UNESCO, gradually becoming a resource for socio-economic development.
Mass sports are widespread, high-performance sports have won many medals at domestic and international tournaments, and athletes have participated in the Olympics.
Lao Cai tourism has developed strongly, welcoming millions of visitors, generating tens of thousands of billions of VND in revenue, affirming its position as a leading attractive destination. In front of Uncle Ho's spirit, the entire industry pledges to be loyal, united, creative, and excellent in completing its tasks, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
