In Ho Chi Minh City, currently, units such as: Tran Huu Trang, Hat Boi Art, Phuong Nam Art, Bong Sen Traditional Music and Dance (public sector); Chi Linh - Van Ha, Vu Luan, Huynh Long, Minh To, Le Nguyen Truong Giang, Thien Long... (socialized sector) have all invested in and operated digital technology .

Artist Binh Tinh, Head of Huynh Long Troupe, said: "It is not enough to just improve the quality of the plays and regularly launch new plays. We also need to promote communication activities on social media platforms. Artists must regularly promote their activities on their personal pages. The troupe also sets up its own YouTube channel, promptly introduces new plays, and implements online ticket sales."

Almost all traditional theaters in Ho Chi Minh City have now created Fanpages, using these pages as official information channels with many contents updated quickly, close to the public. Meritorious Artist Phan Quoc Kiet, Director of Tran Huu Trang Theater, expressed: "Through the Fanpage, the theater promptly makes adjustments to the content of the play based on interactions and comments from the audience. This digital technology solution also helps to significantly save the cost of printing advertising leaflets; the audience is also more proactive and convenient in choosing performances".

"In addition, we also combine minimalist stage and modern Visual LED technology, combining visual arts with performing arts on the cai luong stage, bringing new experiences to the audience. These technological applications have received many positive responses from the audience" - Meritorious Artist Phan Quoc Kiet excitedly.

Meritorious Artist Chi Linh shows off his stage by regularly livestreaming on his fanpage to introduce new plays, promotions when audiences buy tickets; order tickets online, and check tickets by scanning QR codes.

According to insiders, besides the advantages mentioned above, there are still limitations that need to be improved soon, such as shortening the length of the play to be suitable. The majority of audiences believe that the habit of watching reformed opera or drama has changed compared to before, having to sit and watch a play for more than 4 hours is too tiring. Or online, "the play has attractive content" is advertised but in reality it is not like that. The "advertising one way, acting another" makes many audiences upset.
