Number of newly established businesses in Hai Duong increased by nearly 7%

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Hai Duong province, in the first 4 months of 2024, the whole province had 650 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 5,817 billion, an increase of 6.9% in the number of enterprises and 9.3% in registered capital over the same period last year.

During this period, businesses in the province also developed 226 more branches and representative offices and 279 businesses resumed operations. However, 725 businesses registered to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of 21.6% compared to the same period in 2023.

Currently, Hai Duong has about 20,000 registered businesses, most of which are small and medium-sized enterprises with a total charter capital of more than VND220,000 billion. The province strives to increase the number of newly established businesses by 15% in 2024 compared to 2023.
