'Happy Vietnam' exhibition will be held at the National Exhibition Center

On August 27, the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) announced that it will organize a photo and video exhibition "Happy Vietnam" at the exhibition of national achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

On August 28, within the framework of the National Achievements Exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, the exhibition area with the theme "Happy Vietnam" will officially open, this is a cultural highlight, spreading the message of simple, close happiness values ​​in the daily life of Vietnamese people.

The exhibition area with the theme “Happy Vietnam” includes 150 photos and 30 videos on 3 themes: Land of Happiness, Happy People, Happy Moments. The exhibition is combined with 3D/VR/Metaverse virtual reality technology.

The photo and video exhibition “Happy Vietnam” offers a unique experience of art and technology on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

What is special is that these photos and videos were selected from 20,000 works not only from professional photographers but also from Vietnamese people at home and abroad, foreign tourists and those living and working in Vietnam, sent to the Award on the digital platform promoting the image of Vietnam Vietnam.vn.

150 photos were selected and displayed according to three themes: “Land of Happiness” - introducing the natural beauty, cultural heritage and richness of the regions; “Happy People” depicting the portrait of Vietnamese people in work, study, creativity and sharing; and “Moments of Happiness” capturing emotional everyday moments, reminding us that happiness comes from the simplest things.

Each photo and video is not only a work of art but also a vivid story about the spiritual values ​​of the Vietnamese people. The greatest strength is always the strength of the People. The greatest creativity is always the creativity of the People. The most powerful vitality is always the vitality of the People. 20,000 photos and videos are vivid evidence of the strength, creativity and vitality of the People. Digital technology and digital platforms have created conditions for every citizen, no matter where they are, with a smartphone and 4G/5G coverage, to be creative and to contribute their voice to create a Vietnam of the people.

Along with modern technology and products closely related to life, the exhibition also honors traditional art through lacquer works by folk artisans. With the technique of many layers of paint, engraving and metallic sheen, Latoa brings to the public a visual experience rich in depth, both elegant and modern. In particular, there are works bearing a strong historical imprint such as the painting of the "Decree on the Transfer of the Capital" issued by King Ly Thai To when moving the capital from Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) to Thang Long (Hanoi). These works are not only pure art but also "slices of history and culture" - where Vietnamese traditions are preserved and conveyed through the language of contemporary art.

Visitors can not only admire lacquer paintings but also experience making folk paintings with the artists. 1,000 gifts are paintings made by visitors themselves, the result of their own creation.

Through the exhibition space, the Organizing Committee wishes to spread the message of a happy Vietnam - where happiness comes from great achievements, expressed through everyday moments: children's smiles, working hands, and a spirit of constant creativity.

The exhibition also affirms that after 80 years of independence, Vietnam has not only grown strongly in terms of economy and society, but also put people's happiness at the center of development. This is the core value that creates endogenous strength and faith in the future.

Along with that, promoting the image of Vietnam as a beautiful country with diverse nature, stretching from majestic mountains and forests to the vast ocean. The North has the Hoang Lien Son range with Fansipan peak, terraced fields of Sapa and Mu Cang Chai. The Red River Delta and the Mekong River are fertile rice granaries. The sea is more than 3,200 km long with many beautiful beaches such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Ha Long Bay... National forests and world-famous Son Doong cave. The four seasons bring their own nuances, creating a natural picture that is both majestic and poetic...

The exhibition space creates an intersection between folk art, childhood memories and advanced digital technology. This affirms the endogenous strength of Vietnamese culture - both preserving identity and innovating and creating to integrate globally. The exhibition does not stop at displaying, but also encourages the public to participate, experience, create and send messages. Through that, each citizen becomes a part of the exhibition, joining hands to spread pride, belief and aspiration for a happy, prosperous Vietnam, entering a new era.

The “Happy Vietnam” exhibition will be open to the public during the National Achievements Exhibition at the National Exhibition Center. This is not only a cultural event, but also an emotional meeting place, where the public is inspired and aroused in their belief in a prosperous and happy future for Vietnam.

The Organizing Committee has reserved 29,220 gifts with the mark of "Happy Vietnam" symbolizing the number of days of independence - freedom - happiness in 80 years to give to visitors to the exhibition. 14 experience points include: Receiving a "Happiness Passport" at the reception desk; admiring the photos of "Land of Happiness"; experiencing the Grassroots Media System; checking in at Backdrop - a space to store images; admiring photos of "Happy People"; experiencing the Vietnam Promotion Platform; experiencing a virtual exhibition, a digital map of 34 provinces/cities; taking photos at the Photobooth; experiencing making folk paintings with Latoa; experiencing Hong Ha gifts; admiring the photo collection "Moments of Happiness"; taking notes at the "Happiness Tree"; participating in submitting photos to the "Happy Vietnam" contest

Happy Vietnam is a photo and video contest on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform - Vietnam.vn, with the goal of encouraging people across the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends, to apply digital technology to create photos and videos about the country and people of Vietnam. Since its launch in June 2023, the contest has received 20,000 photos.
