Arrest of wanted person upon entering Vietnam

On August 28, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police announced that it had arrested Cao Van Beo, born in 1999, residing in Hon Dat district, Kien Giang province (old), now Vinh Thong ward (An Giang province), a wanted fugitive hiding in Indonesia, when he had just entered Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

According to information from the police, on May 25, 2024, Cao Van Beo and his accomplices used weapons to fight with another group of teenagers in Vinh Quang ward, Rach Gia city (now Rach Gia ward, An Giang province), causing disorder.

During the investigation of the case, on September 23, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Rach Gia City Police, Kien Giang Province (old) issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused Cao Van Beo and 4 accomplices for disturbing public order. Cao Van Beo had fled, so the Investigation Police Agency issued a wanted notice.

On August 25, 2025, through professional measures, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency received information that Beo would enter Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat International Airport, so they picked up and arrested Cao Van Beo.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police is consolidating the case file, investigating and handling Cao Van Beo according to the provisions of law.
