Long Xuyen Ward celebrates the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2

On August 28, the Standing Committee of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 20, 1945 - August 20, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 137th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2025) and award Party badges on September 2.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee Vo Thi Xuan Kieu reviewed the heroic tradition of the country in general and Long Xuyen homeland in particular over the 80-year journey of construction and development.

Promoting the spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, expressing pride and infinite gratitude to President Ton Duc Thang - a staunch Communist soldier, exemplary leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution, an outstanding son of his homeland An Giang, the Party Committee, government and people of Long Xuyen ward uphold the tradition of solidarity and determination to implement the Party's policy on arranging and organizing the apparatus of the political system.

In the second session of September, the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee had 135 Party members awarded the Party Badge. At the ceremony alone, the Standing Committee of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee awarded the Party Badge to 101 comrades; of which, 1 Party member received the 60-year Party membership badge, 4 Party members received the 50-year Party membership badge, 15 Party members received the 45-year Party membership badge, 24 Party members received the 40-year Party membership badge, and 57 Party members received the 30-year Party membership badge.
