On July 31, Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) officially inaugurated the rooftop solar power project at the factory in Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh province.
After 3 months of construction, the project has officially come into operation, marking the beginning of Samsung Vietnam's Net Zero goal, while accompanying the Vietnamese Government 's goal of achieving net zero emissions.
The project is being developed in collaboration with CME Solar, with a capacity of 2.38 MWp and is expected to produce clean electricity equivalent to 2.59 million kWh per year.
Mr. Kim Iee Soo, General Director of SEV, emphasized that the project is not only economically significant but also demonstrates Samsung's commitment to environmental and social responsibility in Vietnam, while creating a green future for future generations.
The project is also an important milestone in the journey to realize the sustainable development strategy of Samsung - the largest FDI enterprise in Vietnam, contributing to the country's sustainable development goals.
As a partner, CME Solar Investment directly undertakes the entire process from technical design, legal procedure support, construction to system acceptance and operation, complying with SEV's quality and safety standards.
