Samsung has officially confirmed that its next Unpacked event will take place on July 9. At the most anticipated event of this summer, the company will introduce a new generation of foldable phones including the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, and also launch One UI 8 - a new user interface version developed on Android 16.
The most notable highlight at this year's Unpacked event is that the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 will be the first devices to come pre-installed with One UI 8. This is Samsung's latest interface, built on Android 16 and powerfully integrated with artificial intelligence (AI), promising to bring a smarter, smoother and more personalized user experience than ever.
One UI 8 not only improves performance but also optimizes interactions, learns user habits and automates many daily tasks. These upgrades are expected to make a big difference for the new generation of foldable phones, especially in the context of AI becoming a mainstream technology trend.

In preparation for the official launch, Samsung has been running the One UI 8 Beta testing program since late May for the Galaxy S25 series in major markets such as the US, UK, Germany and South Korea. Through this, the company can collect user feedback, edit and perfect the operating system before releasing it widely.
One UI 8 will begin rolling out to Samsung devices following a specific roadmap after its launch with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. In Q3 2025, new flagships such as the Galaxy S25, S24, and Z Fold6 will be the first to receive the update. Then, from Q4 onwards, older mid-range and high-end devices will be upgraded, demonstrating Samsung's efforts to maintain a stable and sustainable user experience.
More than just a new product announcement, the Unpacked event on July 9 also reflects Samsung's long-term strategic direction.
