Videos of marigolds cooking noodles attract millions of views

Sharing about this issue, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duy Thinh, former staff of the Institute of Biotechnology and Food, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that although marigolds have many benefits, they should be used in the right dosage and according to the doctor's instructions. In particular, do not arbitrarily use this flower as food.

Experts explain that marigolds are grown mainly for ornamental purposes. To keep the plants beautiful, growers may spray or inject pesticides, growth hormones or other chemicals. Therefore, if processed, it will be harmful to general health, increase the risk of poisoning and pose many other risks.

"If you want to prepare a dish, you should choose homegrown, clean chrysanthemums that ensure food safety and should only try them once and not overuse them," said Mr. Thinh.

People allergic to marigold ingredients, pregnant women, people with a history of allergies, stomach or cardiovascular disease should limit or consult a doctor before eating.

Mr. Thinh recommends that before processing, you should blanch it in boiling water to remove bacteria and reduce the pungent taste. Eat in moderation, do not overdo it and combine it with other foods such as green vegetables and fruits to supplement vitamins and fiber.
