Dong A Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the University of Education Publishing House has just launched the book Ho Chi Minh - Biography in pictures .
The publication was released on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, while also looking forward to the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (1975 - 2025).
The content is selected and edited to vividly recreate the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh - the founder and founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the first people's democratic state in Southeast Asia.
As an outstanding revolutionary, a great thinker and cultural figure, President Ho Chi Minh led the Vietnamese people to gain independence and built the foundation for a modern nation.

The book consists of seven main parts, from childhood, adulthood, the process of wandering to find a way to save the country, revolutionary activities abroad, leading the August Revolution, the two resistance wars against France and the US, to the legacy Ho Chi Minh left behind.
Turning each page, readers can imagine the journey to find a way to save the country from Nha Rong Port, the years of activities, founding the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930, going through prison, then returning to lead the General Uprising in 1945, founding the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, conducting the resistance war against the French with the climax being the victory of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, continuing to lead the resistance war against the US to unify the country.
In addition to the main content, at the end of each section there is an overview of the world situation in each period, helping to better understand the international context associated with President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary journey.
A highlight of Ho Chi Minh – A Pictorial Biography is the method of storytelling through images. Nearly 700 photos, paintings, photographs of artifacts, monuments, maps, and diagrams are included in the book.
Many valuable pictures were collected by Dong A from the French Overseas Archives Center in Aix en Provence (ANOM) - which preserves about 8,000 pages of documents about President Ho Chi Minh - and many museums in the country. The visual language helps to reconstruct the life and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh in a more vivid and accessible way for a wide range of readers.

The editorial team includes Dong A editors, experienced collaborators and a prestigious content advisory board.
Including Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Duc Cuong - President of the Vietnam Historical Science Association, Historian Duong Trung Quoc - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Historical Science Association, and Xua & Nay Magazine.

If the Illustrated History of Vietnam launched in September 2024 is an important step in Dong A's journey to create an encyclopedia in pictures, then Ho Chi Minh - Illustrated Biography continues to be a special work.
Dong A hopes that this will not only be a historical and documentary work, but also a form of communication and liveliness, helping readers - especially the younger generation - get closer to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
The fact that the book was released on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South makes this edition even more special.
