According to the reporter's records, the number of people entering and exiting the Lao Cai International Border Gate on the first day of this year's holiday decreased by about 1/3 compared to the same period last year. The reason is believed to be because the capital Hanoi became the focus of this year's holiday with a large-scale parade at Ba Dinh Square, along with a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, attracting a large number of tourists.

Major Do Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of Lao Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station, said that the unit has increased staff to handle procedures, coordinated with Chinese authorities to regulate passenger traffic, and tightened control of people and vehicles entering and leaving the area. The forces also maintained continuous patrols, stepped up prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and other violations of the law.

Currently, 100% of the military personnel at the border gate are on duty, ensuring that immigration and exit activities during the holidays take place safely, orderly and smoothly.
