Forest Protection and Development Fund pays more than 32 billion VND for forest environmental services - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

In the first 6 months of the year, the Forest Protection and Development Fund paid forest environmental services (FES) to 31,918 forest owners who are households, individuals, and some forest owners who are village, hamlet, commune communities, and the Special-use Forest Management Board with an amount of 32 billion 819 million VND.

People of Luong Can commune (Ha Quang) are paid for forest environmental services.

Of which, the budget for 2025 is 462 million 765 thousand VND; in 2024 it is more than 32 billion 356 million VND, reaching 94% of the plan. The total forest area paid for forest environmental services is 221,200.99 ha, (natural forest 209,197.99 ha; planted forest 12,003 ha).

To ensure publicity, transparency, safety of funding sources, timely payment, and correct beneficiaries, the Fund makes payments for forest environmental services to forest owners through banks; at the same time, assigns specialized staff, part-time staff, and local forest rangers to coordinate inspection and supervision of payments for forest environmental services in 10 districts and cities.

In addition, the Fund collected nearly 7 billion VND in DVMTR fees, reaching 22.7% of the plan. Of which, the Central Fund coordinated more than 3 billion 568 million VND; collected more than 3.3 billion VND from intra-provincial hydropower; collected more than 176 million VND from clean water; collected 5.8 million VND from industrial production facilities; and bank interest of more than 19 million VND.
