Quang Yen - "Magnet" attracting investment

As the locality with the most industrial parks in the province, Quang Yen Town identifies attracting investment in industrial parks as an important solution for sustainable economic development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Town Finance Department, said that every year, Quang Yen builds and registers an investment promotion program (IPP) along with a list of priority projects to attract investment in the area, closely following the resolutions and orientations of the province and the town in socio-economic development. The town establishes XTDT and GPMB working groups for key projects in the area; regularly connects and grasps the progress of implementing key projects with driving force to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for investors; coordinates to adjust zoning plans in accordance with the adjustment of the town planning until 2040 and the town land use planning for the period 2021-2030...

The town has promoted investment in transport infrastructure and other essential service infrastructure, such as: Dam Nha Mac intersection project; Ha Long Xanh intersection project; connecting road project from Ha Long - Hai Phong highway to provincial road 331; riverside road project connecting from Ha Long - Hai Phong highway to Dong Trieu city... In which, the Ben Rung bridge approach road project in Quang Ninh province in Hiep Hoa commune has been put into operation and use. The town has coordinated to review the demand for electricity and water infrastructure for industrial parks to ensure stable and synchronous supply, creating conditions for investors in industrial park infrastructure to attract secondary investors.

The town actively implemented land acquisition and clearance for projects, especially key projects. The town organized 7 public planning meetings; organized working sessions with investors and dialogues with people to remove difficulties and obstacles in land acquisition and clearance work; urged the progress of infrastructure investment in Nam Tien Phong, Bac Tien Phong, Song Khoai, and Bach Dang industrial parks. In 2024, the town directed and implemented land acquisition and clearance for 24 projects, with a total recovered land area of 4,334.73 hectares, and 2,373 affected households and organizations; paid compensation, support and resettlement to 752 households; and handed over 133 hectares of cleared land to investors.

Jinko Solar Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. (Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town) applies modern technology in security management for workers entering and leaving the factory.

The reform of administrative procedures continues to be strengthened. The town announced 10 procedures, reviewed, abolished, and proposed to replace 38 procedures; publicly posted 335 administrative procedures at the town's Public Administration Center. Attention was paid to training, improving the qualifications and quality of human resources, introducing and providing labor resources for businesses...

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, in 2024, Quang Yen attracted 24 foreign investment projects with a total registered investment capital of over 1,103 million USD in industrial parks in the area. For investment projects outside industrial parks, the town is continuing to closely coordinate with provincial departments, branches, and project investors to ensure progress according to regulations; at the same time, continuing to grasp and remove difficulties in project implementation to promptly report to the province for direction and resolution, creating the most favorable conditions for projects to be soon deployed for investment and put into operation.
