In Vietnam, the number of Covid-19 cases has also increased. In response to the new developments of the epidemic, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province issued Document No. 1579/UBND-VHXH dated May 22, 2025 on proactively implementing measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
Due to the summer vacation, the demand for tourism and travel has increased, increasing the risk of disease transmission. Following the direction of the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh has issued Document No. 1414/SVHTTDL-QLLT, requesting tourist areas, destinations, accommodation, food and beverage establishments, tourism services, travel agencies and related units to implement disease prevention work to ensure the health and safety of people and tourists. As one of the sea tourism experiences that many tourists love and choose in the summer, many cruise ships on Ha Long Bay also activate the disease control and prevention process according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and local authorities. Disinfection of the entire space on the cruise ship is maintained periodically. Staff and crew members are checked for health and strictly comply with personal hygiene regulations. Mr. Do Van Phong, Director of Saquila Yacht, said: To strengthen immunity in a special working environment, last March, 100% of staff working on the cruise ship were vaccinated against influenza A. This is one of the unit's efforts to limit the risk of disease transmission and ensure public health.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested tourist areas, attractions, accommodation, food and beverage, tourism service establishments, travel agencies and related units to proactively coordinate with the health sector and localities in disease surveillance based on the actual situation, creating a safe tourism environment for visitors, affirming the destination brand "Safe - Friendly - Attractive" of Quang Ninh tourism.
