Paying attention to the press's propaganda work in the Supplementary Assessment Report on the results of socio-economic development in 2024 and the socio-economic development situation in 2025, delegate Leo Thi Lich - National Assembly Delegation of Bac Giang province expressed her high agreement with the assessment in Report No. 293 of the Government and said that information and communication work has been promoted in creative and effective forms, especially policy communication, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, socio-economic development results, the determination and determination in the leadership, direction and administration of the Party, State, Government, all levels and sectors.
The press has focused on reporting positive points in the fields of socio-economic development, including the agricultural sector. Strengthening information and orientation, contributing to stabilizing public opinion, handling prominent cases that people are interested in, ensuring fast, timely, and oriented information, creating consensus so that people trust in the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially in the work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus, has created momentum, inspired positivity, and strengthened the confidence of domestic and foreign businesses, investors, and the people.
However, the delegate said that, besides the positive points, the main advantages, the information and communication work through the press and social networks also has certain limitations but has not been stated and evaluated in the Government 's Report.
Therefore, the delegate suggested that the Government further assess this issue to more clearly define tasks and solutions to further enhance the quality of information and communication work through the press and social networks.
According to the delegate, besides the great achievements of revolutionary journalism over the past 100 years, Vietnamese journalism faces many challenges. A few press agencies have strayed from their purposes and principles, indulged in negative information about society, lacked humanity, and reflected anti-education and anti-culture.
A small number of reporters and journalists take advantage of the name of journalism for personal gain, violate the law, violate professional ethics, participate in social networks without standards and without responsibility, do not really care much about communicating positive aspects, and have articles reporting news that affect the normal activities and development of socio-economic development areas.

However, in the context of rapid development of social networks and the complexity of multi-dimensional information in the press, recently there have been some images, articles, and news that are incomplete and inaccurate about the selling price, consumption situation of lychee, quality and effects of lychee... causing significant impact on the image and reputation of the Luc Ngan Bac Giang lychee brand.
"In this situation, along with promptly consulting with press and media agencies as well as coordinating with relevant competent authorities to handle inaccurate information, the Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee has sent an open letter to cooperatives, enterprises, domestic and foreign traders, associations, unions, press agencies, people in the province and neighboring provinces and cities.
Through the National Assembly forum, we hope that media agencies, newspapers, and social network users will join hands to spread positive, honest, and objective information, while fighting against false information, protecting the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products in general and Bac Giang lychee in particular," said delegate Leo Thi Lich.
The delegate emphasized that the Vietnamese press under the leadership of the Party is always steadfast in political will, proficient, dedicated to the profession, has pure and humane ethics, strives to serve the Fatherland and the people, these noble qualities crystallize into cultural values that are always preserved, passed on, becoming the belief and pride of revolutionary journalists.
To contribute to continuing to build those noble things of the press and media, delegates suggested that the Government pay more attention to press management, improve journalistic professionalism and journalism skills in the new era, focus on creating conditions for applying new technology in journalism activities and strengthen political and ideological education, improve political capacity, uphold professional ethics of journalists, constantly innovate, create, accompany and effectively serve the development of the country and localities.
In addition, there needs to be adequate attention for journalists so that they can feel secure in their professional activities, consolidate and enhance solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the press of other countries, and enhance the image and position of Vietnam in general and the Vietnamese press in particular in the international arena.
