Quang Ngai: Arrested man who committed fraud by buying high and selling low

(QNgTV)- The Investigation Police Agency, Quang Ngai Provincial Police, issued a Decision to prosecute and an Order to temporarily detain the accused Dang Dinh P, born in 1990, Director of Sa Dec Food Limited Liability Company for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

In 2024, this person went to Quang Ngai to buy squid from agents in the Binh Son and Nui Thanh (old) areas at high prices, paying off the debt as promised. Once he had established his reputation, Dang Dinh P. "bought and borrowed" dozens of tons of squid but did not pay.

On July 22, this person went to Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province to continue buying ink, closing the debt of more than 7 billion VND and sending a fake "payment order" with a "value" of 1.5 billion VND as collateral, then appropriating the property. The victim then reported to the authorities. To date, the Criminal Police Department has received 3 more petitions from citizens in Nui Thanh commune, Binh Son accusing this man of fraud and appropriation of 30 billion VND.

The Criminal Police Department is continuing to investigate and expand the case to handle it according to the law. Quang Ngai Provincial Police request that anyone who is a victim quickly contact and provide information for reception and handling.
