Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien worked with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board.

Reporting to the working delegation, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board said that the province has 1 economic zone with 39,020 hectares and 17 industrial parks (IPs) with 3,515 hectares.

Currently, there is 1 economic zone, 6 industrial parks, industrial clusters in operation; 5 industrial parks established but not yet in operation; 9 industrial parks not yet established. The whole province attracts 219 investment projects under implementation, with total registered capital reaching over 84,761 billion VND and 4 billion USD, creating jobs for over 100,000 workers. Budget revenue is over 4,500 billion VND/year.

In the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien requested the Management Board to reshape the planning of the Economic Zone, industrial parks and clusters; have a plan for key and focal investments, and develop a long-term investment promotion program. Focus on accelerating the progress of Dinh An Economic Zone and key industrial parks; soon complete the resettlement area to serve site clearance, creating a clean land fund to attract strategic investors.

Also during the working trip, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien and the delegation visited Asia Coconut Processing Company, Alpha Heavy Industry Company at Giao Long Industrial Park (Giao Long Commune) and Phu Thuan Industrial Park (Phu Thuan Commune).

Thereby, it is noted that the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board needs to use land economically, appraise land to grant investment licenses for projects very strictly; complete infrastructure soon, put it into operation, and call for investment.
