Honoring Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassadors in 2025

The Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 attracted more than 250,000 entries, including articles and video clips from over 1,000 primary, secondary and high schools in the city.

On the morning of July 26, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to organize the summary and award ceremony of the Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in 2025. This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2, welcoming the success of the Party Congresses at all levels.

Summing up the contest, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Director of the Hanoi Cultural and Library Center - the permanent unit of the contest, said that this year's Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is a useful and interesting playground for teenagers and students in the city, spreading the passion for reading to the young generation; introducing and promoting the country and people of Vietnam, the thousand-year-old capital of Hanoi in the process of integration and development.

This is also an opportunity to exchange and share experiences in reading and developing a reading culture, thereby encouraging and promoting the reading movement in schools and communities, forming habits and improving reading skills for students, encouraging them to strive to study and through specific actions and deeds to contribute to building the country, building a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Capital.

According to Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, after just over 3 months of implementation, the contest has had more than 250,000 entries, including articles and video clips from more than 1,000 primary, secondary and high schools in the city. At the city-level final round, the Organizing Committee received 1,350 entries of good quality, including 1,310 articles and 40 videos .

The Organizing Committee assessed that the entries were presented elaborately, with creative content and form in the presentation. Many entries were handwritten, beautifully illustrated, and the way the messages from the book were conveyed demonstrated the contestants' confidence and ability to inspire, sharing effective reading experiences, plans, solutions, and measures in reading suitable for each age group and having high practical significance. Some of the stories were composed with rich imagination, creativity, and language and writing style suitable for students with many meaningful contents that spread to the community...

The jury selected 61 excellent entries to award prizes, including 1 First Prize, 10 Second Prizes, 15 Third Prizes, 30 Encouragement Prizes, and 5 Consolation Prizes. These entries were highly appreciated for their content and form, their careful investment, creative ideas, and their development of a feasible reading culture plan, wide reach, and high practicality.

The first prize winner was Nguyen Quang Dang, class 2A1, An Duong Primary School (Hong Ha ward). The 10 second prize winners were Bui Ngoc Thao Nguyen (6A1, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School, Ngoc Ha ward); Nguyen Duy Anh (3A, An Hoa Primary School, Cau Giay ward); Dang Minh Huyen (7A1, Phu Cuong Secondary School, Phu Luong ward); Doan Minh Thao (3A2, Ai Mo B Primary School, Bo De ward); Duong Hoang Bao Chau (1A2, Le Quy Don Primary School, Phuc Loi ward); Ngo Hieu Nghia (3C, Tien Phong B Primary School, Me Linh commune); Tang Tung Chi (4A2, Phu Cuong Primary School, Noi Bai commune); Nguyen Thien My (10 Van 1, Chu Van An Specialized High School, Tay Ho ward); Pham Bao Chi (8A2, Tan Trieu Secondary School, Thanh Liet ward); Luong Ngoc Khanh An (4H, Nguyen Trai Primary School, Khuong Dinh ward).

The organizers said that the 6 entries with the highest scores will be sent to participate in the National Final Round of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
