On the afternoon of August 20 in Ho Chi Minh City, the crew of the film Red Rain had a premiere and interacted with the media in Ho Chi Minh City.
Director Dang Thai Huyen and the film's actors: Do Nhat Hoang, Le Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Than Thuy Ha, Hua Vi Van... also attended the exchange.

Sharing at the event, director Dang Thai Huyen said that until now, when the film has been completed and released to the media, all the brothers in the Red Rain film crew as well as Army Cinema have nothing to regret.
"Because we have devoted 200% of our efforts to Red Rain . We have never, and I as the director have never felt discouraged. We do not consider this just a film, not just a project. We consider this as a campaign, a battle, a stick of incense to pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs who died for the country so that we can have all of us have the peace we have today", director Dang Thai Huyen shared.
She also said that the biggest message the film crew wants to convey is whether the country can develop or not, whether it can be sustainable or not depends on the harmony, solidarity and cooperation of the entire nation.

According to the production crew, Red Rain was conceived, edited, and submitted to the review board more than 10 years ago. The script was written by writer Chu Lai in 2010.
The film was selected to be produced and released on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, which is a very suitable time.
The preparation process until the film was completed took a total of 3 years. The crew went to 13 provinces and cities to select locations before choosing Quang Tri town as the main setting, about 4km from Quang Tri ancient citadel. The entire film set was built on an area of 40 hectares. A year before, the crew conducted bomb and mine clearance to ensure absolute safety.
However, the crew admitted that the film only recreated a slice of the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri citadel.

Sharing more about the production process, producer Nguyen Tri Vien said that one of the biggest challenges for the crew was that during filming, it rained heavily for 2 months. He admitted that there were times when he felt desperate because of the pressure to complete the film in time for its release on September 2.
The film started filming on November 2, 2024 and completed the final scenes on January 20, 2025 before proceeding to post-production in an extremely urgent time.
Sharing at the event, Do Nhat Hoang - who plays the main role in the film, said that as people born in peacetime, despite many efforts to understand, it is still very difficult to fully understand the difficulties, hardships, and dedication of previous generations.

Actor Hua Vi Van also admitted that all the actors in the film did not consider themselves as actors when filming, but as Vietnamese citizens who joined the army to do their duty, contributing a part to the film.
The movie Red Rain will have early screenings from 6pm on August 21 before officially opening in theaters nationwide from August 22.
The film is labeled T13 - for audiences 13 years of age and older.
