On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, closing, VN-Index stopped at 1,349.35 points, down 2.69 points (-0.2%); VN30-Index decreased 4.11 points (-0.29%), to 1,435.19 points.
This session, the market fluctuated within a narrow range with differentiation between stock groups.
In the morning session, most of the trading time, the market was green, the highest increase was more than 4 points, VN-Index rose above 1,356 points with strong support from banking stocks. However, at the end of the session, selling pressure increased, causing the index to return to the reference level.

At lunchtime, VN-Index stopped at 1,350.17 points, down 1.87 points.
In the afternoon session, the market never showed green, especially at one point when VN-Index dropped nearly 10 points, down to 1,340 points. At the end of the session, improved demand helped the market slow down.
On the electronic trading board, the breadth was tilted towards the selling side with 167 stocks decreasing in price and 135 stocks increasing in price. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing and decreasing in price was 16 and 12 respectively.
The number of industries that decreased in points was dominant; in which, real estate, energy, and utilities were the industries that decreased by more than 1%. On the contrary, consumer goods and decoration were the only industries that increased by more than 1%.
Banking stocks, many of which increased in price, supported the market, but the VN-Index still lost the 1,350 point mark because the price increase in this group was not strong.
MBB increased by 2.79%, contributing the most to the VN-Index with more than 1 point; followed by the largest code in the market, VCB, up 0.88%, contributing nearly 1 point; CTG contributed nearly 0.8 points.
The contribution of these codes is not comparable to the points taken away by VIC and VHM stocks, which are nearly 2.3 points and 1.4 points respectively. Not to mention, GAS took away 1.2 points.
Liquidity reached over VND22,000 billion. Foreign investors traded strongly during the session. This group bought over VND3,303 billion and sold VND3,877 billion.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the end of the session, the HNX-Index was at 227.07 points after decreasing by 0.49 points (-0.22%); the HNX30-Index decreased by 1.43 points (-0.3%), to 468.54 points. The entire exchange had more than 1,300 billion VND changed hands.
