In previous years, lane 5 of Bao Ninh Luong Street leading to the Chieng Trai village stadium encountered many difficulties, especially on rainy days when the road was muddy, making it difficult for people to travel. In 2020, when there was a policy of Lang Chanh town (old) to build a traffic road, Ms. Dinh Thi Na, NCUT of Chieng Trai village (formerly Chieng Trai quarter) coordinated with comrades in the Party cell and the village front working committee to actively propagate and mobilize people to understand the purpose and significance of road construction in the socio -economic development of the locality. Since then, many people in the village have voluntarily donated nearly 400m2 of land; dismantled ancillary works; cut down some crops that were being harvested such as areca, lat, jackfruit, xoan... without demanding any benefits. From a trail only 1 meter wide, the road has now been concreted and widened to 5 meters, making it convenient for people to travel.
Chieng Trai village has 272 households with 1,180 people, of which ethnic minorities account for about 70%. In order for people to believe and follow, over the years, Ms. Dinh Thi Na has always set a good example, saying what she does, thereby propagating and mobilizing people to effectively carry out emulation movements in the locality. From the consensus of the people, up to now, 100% of the traffic routes in the village have been concreted, the village cultural house has been invested in and built spaciously with full cultural institutions, the village roads and alleys are always bright - green - clean - beautiful. Along with that, Ms. Dinh Thi Na propagandizes and mobilizes people to actively apply science and technology, build economic models for planting forestry trees, fruit trees, raising livestock, poultry, growing other vegetables, such as corn, peanuts, potatoes... to develop the family economy. According to statistics, the average income per capita in 2024 of the village will reach 38 million VND.
In 2012, Mr. Le Van Coc was elected by the people of Oi Quarter (old), now Oi Village, as the local NCUT. To effectively implement emulation movements in the locality, Mr. Coc proactively developed a plan with specific tasks; at the same time, he coordinated with the Party Committee and the Village Front Committee to promote propaganda and mobilize people to contribute working days and donate land to build a cultural house; concretize more than 3km of concrete roads in the village; solidify intra-field roads to serve agricultural production. He also regularly stays close to the villagers, grasps their thoughts and aspirations and successfully reconciles disputes and conflicts among the people, thereby strengthening village and neighborhood ties and solidarity in the community. With Mr. Coc's dedication and responsibility for his work over the years, he has contributed to transforming Oi Village from a village with many difficulties to a village with significant changes.
Mr. Le Van Coc said: “NCUT is not only a “bridge” between the government and the people, but also has to be exemplary and take the lead in local movements and campaigns. As for me, when the (old) town had a policy of building roads, my family voluntarily donated over 500m2 to build and expand the traffic route. Along with propaganda and mobilizing people to contribute funds and working days to build essential infrastructure works, I also always emphasize to people the need to eliminate corruption, preserve and promote the cultural beauty of the nation; not participate in social evils, maintain security and order, ensure traffic safety...".
Through voting and honoring, Linh Son commune has 18 NCUTs among ethnic minorities. Together with village elders and village chiefs, the NCUT team of Linh Son commune regularly pays attention to propagating and mobilizing people to apply science and technology, change the structure of crops and livestock, and develop effective economic models. In addition, NCUTs always pay attention to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the nation; encouraging people to preserve traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and weaving; collecting singing and dancing melodies of the Thai and Muong ethnic groups; practicing civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals; participating in conciliation and resolving conflicts occurring in the community; mobilizing people to respond to and implement the movements "All people protect national security", "All people participate in the fight against crime", contributing to stabilizing the political situation, order and social security in each village in the commune. The practical work of the NCUT team of Linh Son commune has united and promoted the spirit of self-reliance in the community, contributing to the development of the homeland.
