Previously, the People's Committee of Soc Trang province received complaints from people about the suspicion that some CP Fresh Shop stores were "smuggling" diseased pork and chicken into the market. Immediately after that, Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province Tran Van Lau issued an urgent dispatch directing the relevant agencies, including the Provincial Police, to urgently investigate and verify.
The results of the inspection by the interdisciplinary team at 4 CP Fresh Shop stores in the province showed that no diseased, rotten or expired pork or chicken products were found. However, at the time of the inspection, 3/4 of the establishments had expired food safety certificates.
In addition, all 3/4 establishments have not presented the original Certificate of Business Registration and all 4 establishments do not have a Certificate of Food Safety Training as prescribed for the establishment owner and sales staff.
