There was no surprise, the absolute dominance shown by the Vietnamese girls in set 1. The diverse and fast attacks with the participation of Bich Tuyen - Thanh Thuy were too difficult a problem for the Philippine girls.

Alas Pilipinas' number 1 star - Alyssa Solomon still showed her danger, but our blockers limited the chances for this setter to shine. Set 1 ended with a score of 25-17 in favor of the Vietnamese girls.

The set started with a tight score, but from the moment the score was 10-10, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's students began to accelerate. With the excellence of the wing attackers and the ability to coordinate smoothly with the setter, Vietnam continuously scored points and created a safe distance.

Meanwhile, the Philippines appeared to be disconnected in defense with many failed first-pass situations and a lack of blockers, causing the team to quickly fall behind in terms of points.
