Nghe An launches response to National Action Month on preventing and combating domestic violence

On the evening of June 14, at Vinh City Walking Street, Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a launching ceremony to respond to the National Action Month on preventing and combating domestic violence and celebrate Vietnamese Family Day on June 28 with the theme "End violence, foster love".

The launching ceremony is the opening activity for a series of media, art, discussion and community activities held throughout June - the month of action to prevent and combat domestic violence and also the occasion to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day on June 28.

With the theme “End violence, foster love”, the event conveys a strong message about the responsibility of each individual, each family and the whole community in joining hands to build a safe, humane and sustainable living environment.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: Family is the foundation of society, the place where personality, morality, love and tolerance are formed. In the context of modern society with many pressures and fluctuations, domestic violence is still happening silently, causing serious harm to women, children and the elderly. Organizing the Action Month is not only to speak out against acts of violence but also to arouse interest and action from each person to cultivate good family values.

In the coming time, Nghe An will continue to promote diverse communication activities, organize dialogues, thematic seminars, and commend outstanding groups and individuals in the work of preventing and combating domestic violence. Local pilot models will be reviewed and replicated to create sustainable spread. Many forms of visual communication such as banners, electronic boards, social networks and newspapers will also be widely deployed to bring the message of the Action Month to every citizen.

The art program in the framework of the launching ceremony was imbued with traditional cultural colors mixed with modern breath, praising family affection, love and responsibility. The elaborately staged performances left many deep emotions in the hearts of the viewers.

The launching ceremony not only arouses social responsibility for the prevention of domestic violence but is also an opportunity for everyone to pause and appreciate more the simple yet profound values ​​of the two words "family" - where life begins and love never ends.
