PG Bank officially changes its commercial name

Recently, the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PG Bank - UPCoM: PGB) has just announced the decision to change the commercial name.

Accordingly, Petrolimex Joint Stock Commercial Bank will be renamed Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank.

The bank's foreign name was changed from Petrolimex Group Commercial Joint Stock Bank to Prosperity and Growth Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

The bank's current abbreviated name, PG Bank, will be changed to PGBank. The resolution of the Board of Directors takes effect from November 20, 2023.

Previously, the bank's 2023 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) approved the plan to change the trade name. According to PGBank, the bank's trade name and logo are currently associated with the previous major shareholder, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex).

However, Petrolimex has now divested from PGBank and is no longer a major shareholder of the bank. Petrolimex has requested PG Bank to stop using the trademarks owned by Petrolimex before December 31, 2023.

The bank also plans to change its headquarters location from Mipec Building, 229 Tay Son, Dong Da, Hanoi to HEAC Building, 14-16 Ham Long, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

Previously, PGBank also appointed Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Thanh as the Bank's General Director from November 17, 2023 for a term of 5 years. Ms. Thanh was appointed as Acting General Director from November 23.

Ms. Thanh joined PGBank in July 2023 as Director of Human Resources Administration and Development and was officially appointed as Permanent Deputy General Director and Director of Human Resources Administration and Development of PGBank from August 11, 2023 .
