Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong was elected as Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.

On the afternoon of February 7, Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to elect the position of Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 16th term, 2020 - 2025.

At the conference, Mr. Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, spoke to disseminate and implement the contents.

Next, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Pham Toan Thang presented the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee's Report on the election of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Secretary.

After a period of serious and focused work, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee with 100% of the votes.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong was born in 1977, hometown Giao Tien commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province, professional qualifications: University of Construction, Master of Urban Construction Management, advanced political theory level.

Before becoming Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Truong held positions such as Secretary of Sa Pa District Party Committee, Deputy Director of Department of Construction, Director of Department of Construction, Director of Department of Transport, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee.

Previously, on the morning of January 11, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lao Cai province to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
