On the morning of July 29, the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) held the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025-2030 period. Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended and spoke at the Congress.
Opening the congress, General Director, Chairman of the Patriotic Emulation Council of TKV Group Vu Anh Tuan said that in the period of 2020 - 2025, TKV has thoroughly implemented the Party and State's instructions on emulation and reward work throughout the Group.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the title of Labor Hero to worker Pham Dinh Duan.
The emulation movements of the Group have contributed to arousing the spirit of solidarity, initiative, creativity, promoting democracy and striving, dedication of each individual and each unit in the whole Group. Thanks to that, the Group has successfully overcome difficulties, excellently completing assigned tasks. Production and business activities are stable, with growth. Wages and material and spiritual life of workers are improved and enhanced. Safety and environmental work is concerned and focused. Social security activities are enhanced, clearly demonstrating responsibility to the social community in localities where the Group's production and business activities are located.
In the past 5 years, the Group has had 148 key projects that achieved the target and exceeded the set schedule, 27,600 technical innovation initiatives were applied to production, bringing efficiency with a profit value of 2,100 billion VND, 41,996 outstanding workers, high income of over 300 million VND/year. In particular, through emulation movements, many typical examples in all aspects of the Group's work have been honored and rewarded at all levels, including 2 individuals awarded the title of Labor Hero; 1 collective awarded the Independence Medal; 15 collectives and individuals awarded the Labor Medal; 14 collectives awarded the Government's Emulation Flag; 97 ministerial-level emulation flags, 119 Prime Minister's Certificates of Merit; 2,774 collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Minister/Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and 1,174 Emulation Fighters at the Ministry level.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the title of Labor Hero to 1 individual and the Third Class Labor Medal to 2 individuals.
“All of this has created a colorful picture of the enthusiastic, creative and responsible working spirit of the Vietnamese Coal and Mineral Miners,” General Director Vu Anh Tuan expressed.
At the congress, worker Pham Dinh Duan was honored to be awarded the title of Labor Hero. He shared: "After more than 20 years of working in the profession, experiencing many difficulties and hardships in the mining industry, I also feel the glory and pride that my small contributions bring to the Company and the Group. I myself love, respect and trust the profession I have chosen more and more. I have learned a lesson: Loving the profession is the greatest motivation, when facing difficulties, think about your responsibility to your work and your teammates, and you will find the best and most effective way to do it."
Speaking at the congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan sent a warm welcome and deep thanks to all TKV officials, employees and workers for their great contributions to the cause of socio-economic development and ensuring national energy security.
The Vice President affirmed that TKV has written an impressive epic of labor production. With more than 93,000 employees, operating in 24 provinces and cities, from Quang Ninh to the Central Highlands, TKV is not only a pillar of the state economy but also a flame of patriotic emulation, lighting up the desire to contribute. Emulation movements such as "Ensuring safety is the top priority", "Creative labor, achieving record productivity, leading productivity" with 27,614 initiatives that brought in more than 2,100 billion VND, or the movement "Ensuring progress and quality of projects" with 148 projects completed ahead of schedule, have demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, creativity and responsibility of TKV workers...
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said: "I had the opportunity to visit the coal mine, then visit the families, some of whom have been involved in the coal industry for three generations. I was very moved. I was moved by the dedication, responsibility, and affection of coal workers to their profession. Although it is very hard, they are still attached to their profession, love their job, and pass that dedication on to the next generations, to other young generations. That proves not only the affection and responsibility of the workers, but also the care of the Group, of generations of the Group, of companies, and of specific units."

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also emphasized that, in addition to achievements, TKV also needs to frankly acknowledge its limitations, such as the uneven implementation of the movement in some units, or the slow application of information technology. These are valuable lessons for TKV to continue to innovate and overcome challenges, especially in the context of transitioning to green energy and global economic fluctuations.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan suggested that in the 2025-2030 period, TKV should continue to promote the precious tradition of "Discipline and Unity", successfully implementing the goals set out in the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress of the Group. Focus on emulation movements associated with digital transformation, production modernization, ensuring labor safety and improving workers' lives. In particular, it is necessary to focus on discovering and nurturing new factors, timely and transparent rewards, prioritizing direct workers, striving to increase the number of collectives and individuals rewarded by 5-10% compared to the previous period...
