On the morning of June 17, the Vietnam Women's Union held a meeting to provide comments on the draft Project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period 2026-2035", with the participation of the Union's leaders, members of the Project drafting team and nearly 70 delegates from ministries, branches, startup experts, representatives of the Women's Union and businesses.
In her opening speech, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, said: The Government's issuance of Resolution No. 26/NQ-CP dated February 27, 2023, assigning the Vietnam Women's Union to preside over the development of this Project is an affirmation of the Union's central, connecting and leading role in the ecosystem supporting women's start-ups. This is also a development step inherited from the 2017-2025 period, continuing to open up new opportunities for women in the context of digital transformation, green transformation and global economic integration.
At the meeting, many contributions were made, especially focusing on innovating support content, integrating digital skills training, branding, business thinking, and applying e-commerce platforms and modern technology in each startup model. In particular, the contest "Women's creative startups and green transformation 2024" is considered a typical example, which has motivated many women to step out of their comfort zone, confidently starting businesses with products and models associated with community values and cultural identity.
