On the morning of April 11, the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2024 (VITM Hanoi) with the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development" opened at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were representatives of the General Department of Tourism, Vietnam Tourism Association; leaders of several localities, Departments of Tourism, Tourism Associations of provinces and cities and more than 700 domestic and international travel agencies and enterprises.
VITM Hanoi International Tourism Fair is an annual event organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association. This is not only a regional promotional event but also an opportunity to enhance exchanges, cooperation and development for domestic and international tourism businesses.
With the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development", the Fair aims to promote the trend of developing responsible tourism associated with environmental protection; orienting tourism businesses, authorities at all levels, sectors, communities and tourists to pay close attention to environmental protection. At the same time, promoting businesses to build green tourism destinations and products, training a workforce with knowledge of green tourism to contribute to making Vietnam tourism soon become a circular economic sector of Vietnam.
VITM Hanoi 2024 has more than 450 booths, of which 25% are international booths; about 3,500 Vietnamese and international enterprises participate in the Fair; it is expected that 80,000 people will visit and buy products at the Fair. At the event, about 10,000 all-inclusive low-cost air tickets will be provided to customers.
At this Fair, Ninh Binh province has an exhibition booth with an area of 90 m2 attracting the participation of 22 tourism service businesses in the province.
Members of the Tourism Association and the Provincial Tourism Promotion Information Center have provided tourists and partners with general information on the economy, society, and tourism development policies of Ninh Binh. At the same time, they have actively promoted and publicized the scenic spots, historical and cultural relics of the ancient capital; and the outstanding global values of the Trang An World Heritage Site.
This is also an opportunity for Ninh Binh tourism businesses to directly introduce and sell tourism products and services; exchange business cooperation opportunities with customers, travel agencies, domestic and international investors.
In particular, at the Fair, Ninh Binh tourism industry introduced to travel agencies and domestic and foreign tourists some outstanding new tourism products such as Muong cultural experience - Muong tours, enjoying Xam singing art.
It is estimated that on the first opening day, Ninh Binh's exhibition booth attracted thousands of visitors to visit, learn and exchange information.
The fair takes place over 4 days (from April 11 to 14). Visitors to VITM Hanoi 2024 will have many interesting experiences, learn about promotional programs, discounted air tickets, cheap hotel rooms and OCOP products from regions across the country.
