The joy of press collaborators

I have my own stable job, but every time I type on the keyboard, my heart is awakened, and my soul is sublimated. Writing for me is not my main job, but an emotional underground - where I can truly live with everyday vibrations.

Telling beautiful stories of life

I still remember the feeling when my first article was published in Phu Yen Newspaper. It was a short article about the deer farming model in my hometown (I thought the article would not be published because I was not a professional journalist). However, when I saw my name clearly under the title of the article, my heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest. I called my close friends, sworn brothers and sisters... That joy was like a child getting a perfect score for the first time - naive, innocent and strangely proud.

Writing is not just about recording events, but also about observing, feeling and filtering. A good article does not necessarily need to use many flowery words, but more importantly, it needs to be truthful. That is what I learned after each time my article was not published because it “lacked depth” or “had an unclear perspective”. Each response from the editors was a chance for me to learn more, understand more and grow more in my writing career.

Someone once asked me: “Writing for newspapers is just a sideline, you get a few pennies in royalties, why are you still so passionate about it?”. I just smiled. For me, writing is not for money. Writing is to live true to my feelings. Writing is to share good things. Writing is to contribute a small part to spreading positive values in society.

Perhaps one of the best things about being a journalist is the feeling of connection. Your articles reach readers, not just articles, but become part of the community's emotions. I once wrote an article about a young man in my hometown who graduated from a technical university but did not pursue his major but switched to producing rice husk charcoal. After the article was published, many localities and businesses came to the production address to place orders and this young man won the Phu Yen province technical innovation contest and won first prize in the national technical innovation contest in the field of environment.

That result made me understand that: the pen has the power to change. An article, though small, but if written with a sincere heart, can create great impacts. That motivates me - an amateur but passionate - to continue holding the pen and telling beautiful stories of life.

Spread positive values in society

As a freelancer, I am not bound by a strict schedule or daily news pressure like official reporters. But I have my own trips - opportunities to search for documents, meet people, and explore lands. Each trip like that, whether short or long, brings inspiration to write. In fact, there is no shortage of topics to write about. The important thing is whether you open your heart to look at life with sympathy, listen patiently to understand people, and have the courage to speak the truth. It is from these real-life trips that I learned that: a good freelancer not only needs to write well, but also needs to have empathy for humanity.

Being a journalist does not mean that you know everything about journalism. On the contrary, it is a continuous learning process. I learned how to write attractive yet appropriate headlines, how to write short but informative introductions, and how to refine sentences to make my writing style sharper without losing the intimacy. Writing for newspapers helps me to be more organized, to practice discipline and to be careful in every word. Each approved article is a time to "cross the bridge" - where seriousness is evaluated through the smallest details. Not every time I succeed, but every time I fail, I learn a valuable lesson.

For me, becoming a journalist is not a path filled with roses. It is a journey that requires patience, enthusiasm and love for words. The joy of a journalist does not lie in fame or material things, but in: living, recording and spreading kindness. For me, that is one of the most beautiful things in my professional life and in my life as a human being.
