These days, the atmosphere at Ha Tinh Orphanage is filled with joy as three children who have experienced disadvantaged circumstances have successfully won tickets to university, continuing their dream of becoming useful people for society.

Accordingly, in the recent university and college entrance exam results, Ha Tinh Orphanage has students Doan Trung Nguyen (born in 2006) admitted to the semiconductor technology major of the University of Natural Sciences , Vietnam National University, Hanoi with a score of 25.65; Tran Minh Quan (born in 2007) admitted to the disability support major of Hanoi Pedagogical University with a score of 25.69; Tran Quoc Dat (born in 2006) admitted to Hanoi Medical and Pharmaceutical College through the form of high school transcript review.
Over the years, Ha Tinh Orphanage has been a nurturing home for hundreds of children in especially difficult circumstances. On that journey, stories of determination and aspiration to rise up such as Doan Trung Nguyen, Tran Minh Quan, Tran Quoc Dat have always been a source of pride not only for the village, but also a symbol of the power of love and the will to rise up in life.

Sharing about Trung Nguyen's situation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Orphanage said: "Nguyen was born into a family of 2 sisters, Nguyen's mother was often sick. When he was born, Nguyen weighed only 1.6 kg. When he was 3 years old, his mother died of a serious illness, and his father went missing with unknown information. With the support of all levels and the attention of the local government, his sister and Nguyen were taken to the orphanage to be cared for and raised since 2010. Nguyen was the most stunted child in the village, at 5 years old, he weighed only 10 kg and had polycystic kidney disease and heart failure, so raising him required a lot of effort. With the love and attentive care of mothers, uncles and aunts in the village, Nguyen fought against the disease and grew up with his peers. Despite his serious illness, Nguyen studied very well and was always an excellent student. Nguyen attended a class to foster awareness of Party sentiment while he was still a high school student.
As for Tran Minh Quan, he lost his mother when he was 8 years old, then his father disappeared, leaving two orphaned brothers living alone in a thatched house borrowed from his uncle on a hill. Neighbors and his uncle had to regularly support the two brothers with rice and food. To help them have a better life and reduce their difficulties, the commune government and his uncle sent the two children to the Ha Tinh Orphanage for care and nurturing.

Entering the new environment, both brothers received the care, encouragement and support of their mothers and uncles at the Village. In grade 11, Quan received news of his father but when he found him, his father had passed away. Overcoming adversity throughout his 3 years of high school, Quan was an excellent student, attended the school's Party awareness and sympathy training class and actively participated in the school's cultural and artistic activities.
As for Tran Quoc Dat, his father was orphaned and his mother suffered from mental illness, so his two sisters were taken care of by his grandfather. Due to old age and weakness, in 2013, when Dat was 6 years old and his sister was 10 years old, his grandfather had to send the two sisters to the Ha Tinh Orphanage. Dat was accepted, raised and given wings to his dreams by the Orphanage.
Now, they have all been admitted to universities and colleges, ready to continue their dreams. Sharing about the decision to choose the Semiconductor Technology major at the University of Natural Sciences, Doan Trung Nguyen said: “Passing the university entrance exam has a very great meaning for me. This is a gift that I want to give to the mothers and fathers at the youth village and the benefactors who have opened their arms of love, care and support for me throughout the past journey. Semiconductor technology is a new industry with a strong development trend, so I want to try and continue my dream in this field. I will try my best to study well, become a good person and be useful to society, not letting down the expectations of the fathers, mothers and the expectations of the children in the youth village”.

As for Tran Minh Quan, choosing to study Disability Support at Hanoi National University of Education is to repay the love of the community and his parents for him over the years.
“The process of living and studying at the orphanage, seeing the fathers and mothers trying to care for and look after the paralyzed and disabled children who were abandoned by their parents, inspired me to apply for a major in supporting the disabled. I hope that one day soon I will return to the orphanage to follow in the footsteps and accompany the fathers and mothers in taking care of the children,” Minh Quan confided.
The three children of the village passing the university and college entrance exams is not only their own joy but also a great source of encouragement for other children in the village. The image of the older brothers preparing to go to Hanoi to study, their eyes full of determination and faith, has inspired many children who are still diligently studying in the Ha Tinh Orphanage.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Orphanage confided: "Seeing the children pass the university and college entrance exams to continue their life's dream, we are very touched and proud. The children come here with losses but always strive to study, live decently and nurture their dreams. Nguyen, Quan, Dat are the clearest proof of that and they themselves will add more will and determination to other children living and studying here."
Ha Tinh Orphanage was established in 1992. Currently, the orphanage is caring for and raising 104 children. After more than 30 years of establishment, Ha Tinh Orphanage has raised more than 600 children to adulthood, of which 18 are studying at university, graduate school and working in international organizations. In the 2024-2025 school year, the orphanage has 43 children participating in the study, of which 70% are good and excellent students, 3 of whom passed the university entrance exam. Ha Tinh Orphanage is a cozy common home for children with less fortunate circumstances.
