Projects that create new development momentum

On the morning of August 19, along with other localities across the country, Khanh Hoa province participated in a major event when it simultaneously started construction on four major projects, with a total investment of nearly VND20,200 billion. This is not only a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, but also affirms the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of the province in creating new and breakthrough driving forces for socio-economic development.

The four projects that have been started include: Nha Trang City Mixed-use Urban Area; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics Training and Research Facility in Nha Trang (UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang); Investment in construction and business of infrastructure of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park; Social housing in Thanh Hai Resettlement Area. The projects are not simply groundbreaking construction works in many fields, from tourism, industry, education to social security, but also strategic pieces, creating a panoramic picture of a modern, smart and unique Khanh Hoa in the future.

Imprint of riverside urban architecture

With a total investment of more than 17,000 billion VND, the Nha Trang City Mixed-use Urban Area Project (Nam Nha Trang Ward) is the first project of Sun Group to start construction in Khanh Hoa. The choice of Khanh Hoa as a strategic investment destination is not accidental, but comes from the potential of sea and island tourism and the central position of the South Central Coast region. Positioned as an international-class riverside - coastal urban area, the project is expected to not only provide modern living space but also become a unique architectural symbol with the design of 3 islands standing out in the middle of the river, connected by bridges, evoking the image of a miniature "Venice city", but bearing the identity of "the land of Agarwood, the sea of ​​swallows". The important highlight of the project lies in Area 2 "International amusement park island", which Sun Group expects to become a high-class, largest-scale entertainment ecosystem. By orienting artistic and entertainment activities on the water surface, this place promises to "reshape the tourism and night-time economic map of Khanh Hoa". The development of the night-time economy is an inevitable trend of modern tourism and having such a large-scale project will create a strong push, retain tourists, increase revenue and create jobs for local people. With a total investment of VND294 billion, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics Training and Research Facility Project in Nha Trang (UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang) is not only a school, but also a center of knowledge. UEH’s choice of Khanh Hoa to locate its training and research facility demonstrates its belief in the province’s development potential.

The UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang project is built on a 2.1-hectare campus in the North Hon Ong School, Training and Vocational Training Area, Nam Nha Trang Ward, designed with optimal, modern, dynamic, green and sustainable architecture. When put into operation, UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang will have a training scale of 2,000 students; 90 offices for staff and lecturers; a dormitory area providing accommodation for 376 in-house students and many areas for research, creativity, and community connection. The project is expected to create a convenient and cohesive learning and living environment. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "This event affirms the province's commitment to identifying education and training as one of the pillars of sustainable development". UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang will focus on training high-quality human resources to meet the socio-economic development needs of the region; research and transfer practical solutions; connect a network of scholars, students, and domestic and foreign enterprises. In addition to UEH's strengths such as economics, law, logistics, tourism, planning, etc., UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang also focuses on training, research, and international connections associated with the advantages of Khanh Hoa and the potential of the region such as: Sustainable marine economy, marine spatial planning, ocean technology, microchips, health care and community development. UEH's training programs and research projects are in cooperation with leading universities and prestigious professional associations in Australia, the US, the UK, Europe, Korea, etc. The establishment of UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang is expected to create a vibrant academic environment, connecting scientists, experts and businesses, thereby promoting innovation and technology transfer, meeting the province's double-digit economic development needs in the period 2025 - 2030.

Groundbreaking ceremony of the Project for Investment, Construction and Business of Infrastructure of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park

Along with that, the province also promotes industrialization through the Doc Da Trang Industrial Park Project (2 communes of Van Hung and Bac Ninh Hoa). With an area of 288 hectares, a total investment of more than 1,807 billion VND, Doc Da Trang Industrial Park is expected to become a model industrial park, attracting clean, high-tech, precision mechanical and supporting industries. In particular, currently, in Van Hung and Bac Ninh Hoa communes, there are no industrial parks or industrial clusters, so the investment in the construction of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park will contribute to increasing the value of industrial production and shifting the economic structure towards industrialization. This will not only help increase budget revenue but also create about 16,000 direct jobs for local workers, contributing to raising income and improving life.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hoped that when completed, Doc Da Trang Industrial Park will become a model, modern industrial park, with a synchronous infrastructure system, meeting high standards of environment and working conditions for businesses. The project will play a driving role in promoting the economic restructuring of the province towards industrialization and modernization. At the same time, the presence of high-tech, environmentally friendly enterprises in the industrial park will contribute to improving the production capacity, product value and competitiveness of Khanh Hoa's economy on the regional and international map.

Settling down, working hard, reaching out

Solving social security issues is of particular importance to the Social Housing Project in Thanh Hai Resettlement Area (Bao An Ward). The project is invested by Sao Bien Real Estate Company Limited, built in Thanh Hai Industrial Park Resettlement Area on an area of over ^19,150m2 , with a total investment of 1,358 billion VND. The construction scale includes 4 apartment blocks with 15 floors above ground and 1 roof technical floor, with a maximum height of 54.4m. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in the second quarter of 2027. When completed, the project will provide 1,352 apartments with an area of 30 to ^70m2 , serving 5,408 people. This project is not only a construction project, but also a strong message about the government's concern for people's lives when planning according to a model with ESG standards (environment, society and governance) and Smart factors.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the project will contribute to completing the goal of the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030". This demonstrates the connection between the State, enterprises and people in building a fair and prosperous society. In order for the project to be implemented and completed on schedule, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang requested that departments, branches, sectors and local authorities pay attention, accompany and support the investor in carrying out legal procedures, ensuring smoothness and compliance with regulations throughout the implementation process. The investor needs to focus resources to complete the project on schedule, ensuring the highest quality.

The simultaneous commencement of four major projects is of strategic significance, opening a new, comprehensive development phase for Khanh Hoa province. These projects not only create strong impetus, promote the economy, but also improve the quality of life for the people. This is a breakthrough step, demonstrating the consensus and determination of the entire political system in building a "modern - green - smart - rich in identity" Khanh Hoa as the set goal.
