Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, President of the Women's Union of Thieu Nguyen commune, said: "Clearly identifying the meaning, role and importance of studying and following Uncle Ho's example, in recent years, the Women's Union of the commune has promoted propaganda and mobilized cadres and members to actively study and follow Uncle Ho's example through specific actions, associated with daily work. In order for studying and following Uncle Ho to truly go into depth, becoming a regular way of thinking and working of each member, the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of the commune has selected and launched many specific programs and movements; built and expanded models of following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style associated with the tasks of organizing the union and social issues raised at the grassroots level, attracting a large number of female cadres and members to participate. At the same time, taking the results of studying and following Uncle Ho as one of the criteria for evaluating the quality of activities of the branches.
The Women's Union of Thieu Nguyen commune has directed its branches to combine studying and following Uncle Ho with implementing emulation movements: "Building Thieu Hoa women of the new era - patriotic, benevolent, self-reliant, self-reliant, aspiring to rise up", the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"... The Women's Union of the commune has mobilized cadres and members to promote the role of exemplary women, actively contributing to joining hands to build new rural areas at the grassroots level through practical activities such as: donating land, treating waste and protecting the environment, planting flowers, building houses to collect scrap; Prevent and combat pollution, create rural landscapes, help each other develop family economy and eliminate hunger and reduce poverty... From 2024 to present, cadres and women's union members have launched 95 general cleaning campaigns for village roads and alleys with 900 participants, planted 18km of new flower roads in residential areas and model fences, mobilized the construction of 120 "Clean House - Beautiful Garden" models, 328 households dug holes to classify and treat waste at home, 900 households bought organic waste sorting bins. Built a tree nursery model with 380,000 seedlings, total value of 51 million VND; maintained the "Turning trash into money" model from a scrap collection house, total amount of 8.2 million VND... The whole commune has established 9/9 model women's unions "5 no, 3 clean"; 5 model women's unions "5 yes, 3 clean".
In economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of members, the association has developed plans, assigned members with economic conditions to help poor members; built association funds; coordinated the transfer of science and technology; created conditions for members to access preferential loans. The Women's Union of the commune has been entrusted with the Social Policy Bank to lend capital to 248 households for economic development, with a total amount of over 8 billion VND. In addition, the association has always maintained activities to support members in difficulty to overcome difficulties and escape poverty sustainably through forms such as organizing savings groups and organizations to lend without interest, supporting breeding animals, and mobilizing capital sources from other organizations. The association has also promoted the movement "Practicing savings following Uncle Ho's example" with the model of building savings tubes in households, with 494 members participating, with an amount of 375 million VND.
The Women's Union of Thieu Nguyen commune is continuing to promote propaganda and mobilize female members to continue to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Thereby, contributing to building happy families, raising children to adulthood, working well and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
