Producer of show 'Anh trai vu ngan cong thorn' makes big profit

On January 23, Yeah1 Group Corporation (stock code YEG) announced its business results for the fourth quarter and 2024.

According to the consolidated financial report for 2024, Yeah1 achieved a profit after tax of more than 126 billion VND, an increase of 378% compared to 2023. This result was achieved thanks to revenue from advertising and media activities increasing more than 4 times compared to the same period in 2023, leading to an increase in gross profit and profit after tax of the group.

The consolidated net revenue of this entertainment company will reach over VND1,000 billion in 2024, of which revenue from advertising and media consulting will be VND845 billion. The group's gross profit will reach VND143 billion, an increase of more than VND117 billion compared to 2023.

However, the parent company's own profit after corporate income tax decreased by more than VND 28 billion, equivalent to a decrease of 54.81% compared to 2023, mainly due to a decrease in financial revenue.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Yeah1's consolidated profit after tax reached VND71 billion, an increase of 401% over the same period in 2023. Yeah1 Group said the main reason was that in the end of 2024, Yeah1 achieved efficiency in business segments, especially multi-platform advertising activities, sponsored brands, entertainment programs and events.

In contrast to the consolidated business results, the parent company's after-tax profit in the fourth quarter of 2024 decreased by 48% compared to the same period in 2023 due to a decrease in revenue from content copyright transfer and exploitation.

The consolidated financial report shows that the group's total assets as of December 31, 2024 were more than VND 2,492 billion, an increase from VND 1,860 billion at the end of 2023, the group's liabilities were more than VND 985 billion and equity was more than VND 1,506 billion.

Yeah1 was founded in 2006, operating in the entertainment media industry in Vietnam and is the producer of programs that have "made waves" in recent times such as "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves", "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Congestions"...

Recently, despite the general market decline, Yeah1 shares still had sessions of dramatic increase thanks to the heat of the 2 concert nights "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" scheduled to be held at the end of March in Ho Chi Minh City.

After a period of crisis, Yeah1 has now "overcome thousands of obstacles", gradually regaining its position as revenue and profit continuously increase with many programs well received by the audience.
