This is an event in a series of activities to promote the first book about himself and his family by Meritorious Artist Huu Chau.
MC Minh Duc said that perhaps the stage at Book Street is one of the smallest stages that Huu Chau has ever stood on. But the only difference is that there are no more roles, but only a place for the artist to tell the story of his life with the most real Huu Chau to the audience.
It took 9 years to have Huu Chau - The stormy golden cradle
Huu Chau - The Golden Cradle of Storms (written by writer Thanh Thuy, published by Phanbook and Dan Tri Publishing House) is a portrait memoir that Huu Chau had to ponder and think a lot about, taking up to... 9 years to decide to officially release.
"During the launch of Ms. Hai Kim Cuong's memoir, Ms. Le, the director of PhanBook, came and patted me on the shoulder and said: It's almost your turn! At that time, I honestly didn't want to do it because I didn't believe in myself, I still thought I wasn't mature enough to tell, to make a book. Then 3 years ago, I received another offer, I thought about it a lot and this time I accepted.
Deciding to sit down with author Thanh Thuy to write this book, I thought everything was over.
All are lessons, experiences and I think I should tell the story of Thanh Minh - Thanh Nga, my family.
How did they live, what did they go through to have such a poetic, beautiful, and memorable time on stage?" - artist Huu Chau confided.
He began the first chapters of the book with details of meeting his "old friend". That was his mother, his beloved aunt - the queen of the stage Thanh Nga. His mother Thanh Nga "disappeared" when he was just over 10 years old.
And for Huu Chau, if this book is lucky enough to be completed, it will first be offered to the family and then "offered to Mother Ba, like my life story started with Miss Thanh Nga".
The atmosphere of the exchange was sometimes very emotional because of the feelings and memories of the audience and dear artist friends with Huu Chau through each stage and each role.
That was the first role when he was only 4 or 5 years old standing on stage with his grandparents, as Cam's mother, the flamboyant Scorpion in Once Upon a Time , as a spirited Nguyen Trai in The Secret of Le Chi Garden , the "old man" roles that have been associated with his name.

If you are like that and still single, we have to try even harder.
In addition to artist friends and theater fans, the exchange also had the participation of many young actors, who are also generations of students of artist Huu Chau such as: Minh Du, Tran Phong, Ma Ran Do, Thanh Khon, Le Loc, Huu Dang, Manh Hung...
They are also the generations of actors that Huu Chau devoted a "space" in the book to tell, to nurture more hope for a beautiful future of the stage. Actor Minh Du recounted the memory of the first time he applied to study with Mr. Chau but it did not go smoothly, because he was... sent home by the teacher for some reasons and remembered the times he was scolded by the teacher.
"Regarding the "physical impact", the teacher did not leave out anyone, not even one candidate. All the surrounding objects became props for the teacher to "take action". Even though there were times when the teacher scolded us, those teachings made us become different people, living more deeply, more devoted to our profession and life" - Minh Du said.

Having the chance to act "one-on-one" with teacher Huu Chau in a few scenes of the play 13 Duc Thay on Thien Dang stage, actor Thanh Khon confided to Tuoi Tre Online that his "teacher" guided him from the smallest details, such as: paying attention to the direction of the character's walk to be in the right direction of the light.
"I was angry with my teacher for about two years because I stopped working for a while. When he knew I wanted to return to acting, he called me directly and said: Do you want to work again? That was the sentence that brought me back.
He once told us that even though he had been acting for so many years, there were times when his shows were slow, so newcomers like us needed to try harder and be more dedicated to our acting career and the audience," Thanh Khon said.
Anh Duc, a long-time audience of the Thanh Minh - Thanh Nga family, told about the meeting with artist Huu Chau's students:
"When I arrived, all the students stood up and bowed to me. I am also a teacher, so when I witnessed that, I understood how serious and influential Huu Chau was with his students."

Mr. Thanh Loc is my benefactor.
In addition to the Thanh Minh - Thanh Nga family bloodline, Huu Chau also mentioned the "benefactors" who contributed to his career. They are People's Artist Kim Cuong and Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc:
"For the first time, Huu Chau expressed his gratitude to Mr. Loc openly without keeping it to himself. Mr. Thanh Loc is one of his benefactors, who has given wings to Huu Chau's artistic journey over the past 30 years, helping me to flourish with art, to feel more love and trust in the profession."
