Nghe An: Highlights on March 1

* On the afternoon of March 1, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day and the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organized a delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to congratulate the Provincial Border Guard Command.

At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong emphasized the deep concern of the political system, Party committees, authorities at all levels, departments, branches and people for the green-uniformed soldiers.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong hopes that the Border Guard force will promote the results and experiences achieved; advise the Party Committee and the government more actively, perform more effectively the assigned functions and tasks, and contribute positively to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

* According to news from the Provincial People's Committee Office, on February 27, 2024, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 30/QD-UBND approving the investment policy to upgrade and expand Vinh airport with a total investment of 233.6 billion VND.

Specifically, the above capital is the investor's own capital, the project will focus on the items of renovating and expanding the aircraft parking lot to increase the total number of aircraft parking positions from 6 to 9 Code C parking positions; construction progress, project completion and putting into use within 12 months, from the date of completion of site clearance, land allocation and construction permit issuance.

* On the morning of March 1, in Vinh city, Nghe An Provincial Military Command held the 2024 training launch ceremony.

The training year starts on March 1, 2024 and ends on December 15, 2024. Of which, the training time for officers is 65 days/year; for soldiers enlisted in 2023 and 2024, it is 9 months, divided into 2 phases; units are ready for combat 16 days/month; units are both training and on duty 8 days/month.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Provincial Military Command thoroughly grasped the Combat Training Order of the Commander of Military Region 4. Accordingly, in 2024, the Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces will continue to thoroughly grasp and organize the implementation of Resolution No. 1659 of the Central Military Commission, Resolution No. 775 of the Party Committee of Military Region 4 on improving the quality of training in the period 2023-2030 and the following years; Order No. 26 of the Commander of Military Region 4 on military and defense tasks in 2024; Resolution of the Provincial Military Party Committee on leading the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2024.

* Today, January 20, many localities of Nghe An have jubilantly opened traditional festivals.

In Quy Chau district, thousands of tourists from all over the country came to Chau Tien commune to participate in the Hang Bua Festival. Also in the western region of Nghe An, people and tourists enthusiastically participated in many cultural and religious activities of the Van - Cua Rao Temple Festival in Tuong Duong district. The festival aims to commemorate and pay tribute to General Doan Nhu Hai and the soldiers of the Tran Dynasty who sacrificed their lives to protect the country's borders.
