Today, August 8, Ward 1, Quang Tri town organized the National Day for National Security Protection (ANTQ) in 2024. This is the locality chosen by the province to organize the festival in the whole province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam, Head of Steering Committee 138 (Steering Committee for Crime Prevention, Social Evils and Building the Movement for National Security Protection) of the province attended.
Recently, the movement of the entire people to protect national security has been identified as a key task by the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, and mass organizations of Ward 1, Quang Tri town.

The work of propagating and mobilizing the entire population to participate in the movement was widely deployed with many rich and diverse forms; the work of building and replicating models of self-management, self-defense, self-protection, and self-reconciliation was actively and effectively responded by the masses with 11 models, actively contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.

Speaking at the festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam suggested that Party committees and authorities at all levels need to clearly identify that the work of building the movement of All People Protecting National Security is the responsibility of the entire political system and the entire people, under the leadership and close direction of Party committees at all levels, the management and operation of the government, the core advice of the police force, the active participation of sectors, organizations and the masses.
The provincial police force continues to guide, deploy, and act as the core to effectively carry out the movement of All People Protecting National Security; replicate advanced models and examples throughout the province, contributing to ensuring local security and order, creating a stable environment for socio-economic development.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Party Committee, the government, agencies, departments, branches, socio-political organizations and all the people of Quang Tri town in general, Ward 1 in particular, to continue to promote their role, responsibility and enthusiasm to actively participate in the movement of All people protecting national security and order; the movement to build educational institutions, agencies, units and enterprises safe in terms of security and order.
At the same time, help the police force detect, denounce, fight and prevent all types of crimes, social evils and violations of the law in families and communities; do a good job of managing and educating children not to violate the law and social evils.
On this occasion, 5 collectives and 7 individuals with many achievements in the movement of All People Protecting National Security were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 4 collectives and 4 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Police.
