Meet strict standards

Lam Dong has overcome fragmented production and dependence on the domestic market to meet strict international standards. Key products such as clean vegetables, tubers, fruits, high-quality flowers from Da Lat, coffee, dragon fruit and seafood not only dominate the domestic market but also affirm their brands in developed countries. The application of VietGAP, GlobalGAP, organic standards, along with growing area codes and traceability technology, has helped organize the agricultural value chain in a modern, transparent and effective manner.

The province also focuses on deep processing and high-end packaging to increase product value. The mindset of “clean agricultural products for domestic use” has changed to “high-quality agricultural products for branded export”. Modern transport infrastructure with key projects such as Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway, Vinh Tan Port and Lien Khuong International Airport have created a convenient transport corridor, connecting Lam Dong with international markets.

Lam Dong Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Ladophar) is one of the pioneers in the local agricultural product export industry. With the strategy of not producing according to orders for foreign companies and then labeling them as before (OEM), but exporting with its own brand, Ladophar has overcome traditional barriers to affirm its position in demanding markets such as Korea, Taiwan and Mongolia. The company's products, especially artichoke tea and herbal preparations, have been displayed at the Vietnamese Embassy in many countries such as Bulgaria, Romania and some other countries, contributing to promoting the Vietnamese medicinal herbs brand. The export value in 2025 through these channels will increase 3 times compared to the previous total export value. In particular, Ladophar's export revenue in 2025 accounts for 49% of the total export revenue in the past 5 years.

Mr. Le Tien Thinh - General Director of Ladophar, shared: “Investing in GMP-standard production lines and taking advantage of Lam Dong's climate and soil have helped us meet international standards. Through the province's trade promotion programs and connections with embassies, we have opened up opportunities to expand the market with major partners, bringing the Ladophar brand far and wide.”

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, the export turnover of agriculture, forestry and fishery products in the first 7 months of 2025 reached 1,848.7 million USD, an increase of 18.91% over the same period in 2024. This is a testament to the effectiveness of policies on developing high-tech agriculture and export processing.

Step by step affirming brand and reputation

Vien Son Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. is also a bright spot in the field of agricultural product export. With 19 years of experience, Vien Son has built a stable export system to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, EU and Southeast Asia. In 2024, the company will achieve an export output of 6,000 tons, possessing important international certifications such as: BRCGS, FDA, Halal, CSR. The enterprise has also linked with more than 500 local farming households to build standardized raw material areas, serving sustainable processing and export.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Da - Director of Vien Son Company shared: "We invest heavily in digital technology , traceability and product quality, because these are prerequisites for Vietnamese goods to have a long-term position. Participating in the global supply chain is no longer a distant dream, but is part of Vien Son's long-term development strategy."

In the coming period, Lam Dong province is determined to continue promoting investment in deep processing, improving quality and gradually building its own brand for local agricultural products. Along with that, the province will proactively and effectively take advantage of opportunities opened up by bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements, in order to expand the market, increase added value and affirm the position of Vietnamese agricultural products. However, according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Vice President of Lam Dong Business Association, in order for exports to truly become a driving force for sustainable growth, businesses need to continue to focus on in-depth investment in key areas such as: post-harvest processing, logistics, agricultural product preservation and professional, systematic brand development. At the same time, the accompaniment, orientation and support from the State; especially in market forecasting, preferential credit, and training of high-quality human resources are still important factors to create momentum for sustainable development.
