On June 13, Sohu reported that singer Zhang Hengyuan - runner-up of The Voice China, passed away at the age of 37 after a long battle with melanoma. This news shocked fans as the singer and his family did not disclose his health condition.

The Voice China runner-up Zhang Hengyuan passed away at the age of 37.

Zhang Hengyuan had been suffering from malignant cancer for many years. In early May, his health declined and his condition became serious, forcing him to be hospitalized for treatment but he did not survive. Zhang Hengyuan's passing left many friends, colleagues and fans heartbroken. Zhang Hengyuan's funeral was held on June 18 in Guizhou, China.
