On the evening of August 12, in Group B of the 2025 ASEAN Women's Football Championship - ASEAN Women's Cup, the Philippines and Myanmar women's teams played a tense 90 minutes, ending in a 1-1 draw.

In this match, Myanmar entered the match confidently, actively holding the ball and organizing overwhelming attacks. In the 32nd minute, Lemoran lost the ball dangerously in the middle of the field, creating an opportunity for Win Theingi Tun to rush past goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel but was fouled in the penalty area. She herself successfully converted the 11m penalty, opening the score of the match, with a 1-goal advantage for Myanmar.

Conceding a goal, the Philippines faced many difficulties in the first half when their play was disjointed and lacked effective coordination. The most significant chance came in extra time, when Chandler McDaniel fired two shots in a row but both were brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Mya Nyein.

In the second half, the Philippines pushed up their formation to find an equalizer but were still stuck against Myanmar's disciplined defense. The turning point came in the 71st minute, when Wyrzynski crossed the ball accurately for Mathelus to run down and finish close to the goal, leveling the score at 1-1.

In the remaining minutes, both teams created chances but lacked coolness in finishing. In particular, the Philippines' eagerness to attack almost cost them when goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel had to make two excellent saves against Wadi Hlaing Yoon.

In the end, the score remained 1-1 despite the Philippines goalkeeper participating in the final set piece situation still having to leave the tournament. This result helped Myanmar take the top spot in Group B with 7 points, U23 Australia beat Timor Leste 9-0 to take second place in the group with 6 points.
