Thunderstorms in many places across the country

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and early this morning (July 1), the Northern region and Thanh Hoa had moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places experiencing very heavy rain.

Rainfall as of 3am on July 1st in many places was over 100mm such as: Thu Lum ( Lai Chau ) 154.2mm, Tien Nguyen 2 (Tuyen Quang) 112.8mm, Ban Qua (Lao Cai) 109.4mm, Phuc Do (Thanh Hoa) 103.0mm...

It is forecasted that from today until July 3, heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue to occur in the Northern region, with localized heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-140mm, some places over 250mm. Warning of the risk of localized heavy rain (>100mm/3h).

Thunderstorms continue in the North.

The area from Nghe An to Lam Dong and the South will have showers and thunderstorms today and tonight, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 70mm (concentrated in the evening and at night).

From July 3, heavy rain in the North gradually decreased.

Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

Thanh Hoa to Hue is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Light wind. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature 31-34 degrees.

The South Central Coast is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the afternoon and evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some heavy rain in some places. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. Lowest temperature 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature 32-35 degrees.

Central Highlands: Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain. West to southwest wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature 27-30 degrees, some places over 31 degrees.
